An introduction to prarthana education society
The brain child of Shri Ravi Belagere, a noted kannada journalist and writer, Prarthana education society was started during 2002 with meager student strength of about 370, with an intention to provide quality education to the children at affordable cost. The society does not accept donations from students/ parents. The school has come as a blessing to middle and lower middle class people of south Bangalore who cannot afford costly education. During past 9 years, the school has grown in leaps and bounds and has been recognized as one of the middle top most schools in south Bangalore. At present the society gives education to about 6500 students and has employed 275 teachers. The school start from Nursery to High school. The school has a curriculum of state as well as of CBSE. There have been six SSLC batches so far, and all the batches have come out successfully with 100% passing results. During 2003, the school was awarded with `Computer Excellency Award’, which was personally presented by Mr. Abdul Kalam, the then president of India.
